The Solarii (plural of Solarus) are the warrior women of the Sun-Goddess Helia. With her blessing, the Solarii wage war against evil. Each Solarus bears the sigil of Helia, a massive spiked mace, with which she may focus the sun's energy into cleansing fire-magic.

Each generation, according to Solarus legend, the Sun-Goddess Helia manifests herself as the Sovereign. The Solarii, in their service to the Sovereign, prepare their soul for its voyage to the Sun-Goddess's kingdom. For eternity, the souls of the Solarii garrison the kingdoms of Helia in her perpetual struggle with Lunord, Lord of the Night.
